Provisionally registered

Conditionally registered

Obtaining full registration
Allows a doctor to practise independently in Singapore.
Fully registered
Request for No-Pay Leave.
Temporarily registered
Cancellation of temporary registration and request for No-Pay Leave.
Practising Certificate (PC)
Doctors applying for or renewing Practising Certificates (PC) must meet CME requirements and settle any outstanding SMC election fines.
Supervisory Framework
The Supervisory Framework enables SMC to monitor doctors who are on conditional and temporary registration.
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
CME consists of educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of a doctor.
Certificate of Professional Status (COPS)
The COPS will reflect the basic information on the doctor’s registration status with the SMC.
Display of qualifications
Registered medical practitioners will only be allowed to display qualifications that are entered in any register kept under the MRA.
